Waly's Story

"In the sun-drenched valleys of Zaghouan, in the heart of the Borj Waly estate in Oued El Kenz, our history takes root. In 1921, Mohamed Mustapha Ouali, affectionately nicknamed Lamine, was one of the first farmers in the country to receive his degree from the Sidi Naceur School of Agriculture in Smindja, Zaghouan. This moment marked the beginning of the culture of agriculture in our family, laying the foundation for our commitment to the land and olive oil.

Since then, from generation to generation, the cultivation of the olive tree and the know-how in oil production have been passed down. Guided by Lamine's heritage, we have established Borj Waly Estate as the place where authenticity meets excellence.

Our contemporary story begins in 2020, when we embarked on a journey to create something exceptional. Our quest for excellence is reflected in the meticulous selection of olives, the exclusive recipe of spices and the artisanal production process, all done by hand. Every drop of our olive oils is a fusion of authenticity, family heritage and passion to deliver unique flavors.

We are proud to share that our commitment to quality and authenticity has been recognized. In 2021, our oils won the silver medal during the 3rd edition of the Tunisian Local Products Competition organized by APIA. In 2023, they were honored with a bronze medal during the 4th edition of the same competition. These accolades demonstrate our continued commitment to excellence, and we look forward to sharing our passion with you.

We thus honor our terroir, the experience of Lamine, and the promise of quality that we have inscribed in each bottle of our olive oils, thus perpetuating our family tradition in the sunny hills of Zriba, Zaghouan."
